Distinguishing features

Colonies form thickly branched hispidose clumps, with distinct, large, rounded apical polyps on branchlets. Radial polyps are appressed rounded tubular, evenly sized and distributed, just touching or slightly separated on branch.

Colours grey-green or brown, usually with orange or brown apical polyps.
