Distinguishing features

A small translucent goby with small brown and white spots and speckles on back and sides, an indistinct row of slightly larger, often paired spots from pectoral fin base to tail and a small diffuse dark spot on caudal peduncle; a slanted pinkish patch in front of the pectoral fin; white speckling on the dorsal fins and tail. Occurs in small groups on sand close to shelter.
