Distinguishing features

Holothuria (Halodeima) edulis is unmistakeable due to its colour: black above, pink below. The body wall is relatively thin and pliable. No cuverian tubules.

Distribution and habitat preferences

Holothuria (Halodeima) edulis is common in reef habitats throughout the Lizard Island group, especially in shallow reef-flat areas.
