Distinguishing features

Bohadschia vitiensis is a yellowish/ brown to cream-coloured holothurian with a very thick body wall. Some specimens are brown above and much paler on the flat undersurface. This species ejects sticky white cuverian tubules when disturbed.

Distribution and habitat preferences

Bohadschia vitiensis is found in sandy habitats, usually partially or completely buried in sand during the day. The species is quite common in shallow water near Casuarina Beach.
