Distinguishing features

A shrimpgoby with pairs of bars on lower sides that have a cross-piece at top, almost H-shaped. Bars are brown in Lizard Island specimens, redder in other parts of the world. Spaced gold spots with darker edges on head. Spines of dorsal fins marked with broken brown lines.
