Species Cyrtophora moluccensis

Distinguishing features

An orb-weaver spider that builds a web that is oriented horizontally or at a small angle to the ground (rather than vertically as by Argirope species). Discussion on iNaturalist indicates that the web of this species is a more complex dome shape rather than the simple orb spun by Argirope.
