Similar taxa

This appears to be the first record of the species from Lizard Island. It must have been introduced in the early days of the Research Station. There was a single large tree that last flowered in the 1990s and seems to have disappeared in the cyclones of 2014 or 2015. Small plants continue to appear in the area and they are removed periodically by LIRS.
