The Feb 2013 sighting was incorrectly identified as the Scaly-breasted Lorikeet in LIFG up to 24 mar 2015, when the mistake was noticed and corrected by Geoff Shuetrim.

Local abundance

  • Lizard Island: The Feb 2013 record appears to be the first for this species at Lizard Island, although Atlas of Living Australia has many records of it on the mainland nearby.
