  • This appears to be the first record of this species from the Great Barrier Reef. It was found in the LIRS display tank. It probably came in with coral or rubble, or through the water supply as a larva.

Local abundance

  • Lizard Island: Extremely rare. Stomatopod biologists have collected extensively at Lizard Island for decades and have never found this species.
