Distinguishing features

A moderately-sized brittlestar with a distinctive colour pattern: pink/red with dorsal arm plates outlined in white; arms spines banded pink and white. Some arm spines are expanded at the tip in large specimens. Disc is usually hidden within the reef with just two or three arms protruding. The disc has long spinelets.
