Local abundance

  • Lizard Island: A flock of about 30 Rainbow Lorikeets arrived at Lizard Island on 21 December 2012, still here on 15 Jan 2013. The species was last seen here in the early 1990s when a flock of about 20 stayed for about two weeks.
