Distinguishing features

A compact bushy anemone that has branches (with branchlets) on all surfaces of its tentacles. The body is buried in sand and the tentacles can be retracted suddenly and completely. Gives a painful sting.

Edgar (2019) calls this species Actinodendron plumosum cf.
