Distinguishing features

Differs from other Pterocaesio in this area by having no stripes or other markings on the sides other than the thin, straight lateral line. Colour is variable, silvery but can be blueish to reddish. Tail tips reddish to black. Form aggregations and mix with other fusiliers.
