Distinguishing features

Genus-level id is based on similarity to photos of Cuapetes provided by Humann and Deloach (2010), especially Cuapetes tenuipes and Cuapetes sp 7. Many species of Cuapetes have been recorded from Lizard Island. This is a free-living species, not known to associate with other organisms.

The two individuals photographed here differ in colour and proportions of the clawed appendages. Normal variation? Different sexes? Different species?
