Photo of Animalia: species: Lyncina lynx

Juvenile Lyncina lynx near the sandspit at Palfrey Island, Lizard Island Group. Found under rubble, 2.5 cm long. The characteristic thickened aperture of cowries has not yet developed in this individual. Thanks to iNaturalist contributors @ben_travaglina and @glycmeris for the identification.
