Photo of Animalia: species: Phymanthus sp. 3

Phymanthus sp. 3 found within loose rubble at base of reef slope, Lizard Island. Column is about 1 cm diameter. Thanks to Joe Rowlett (Field Museum, Chicago) for identifying this photo as of a juvenile Phymanthus. He noted: "Note the branched tentacles... these come in every color of the rainbow, so focusing on shape and texture is most important."
