On 1 Nov 2021, Barbara Banks (yacht Aquasafari) reported to LIRS that people from two other boats (Haven, Coastwatcher) had observed a 2 m crocodile on Saturday, 30 Oct. The reported location was Coconut Beach but on enquiry the location was actually Mangrove Beach. They watched the croc swimming close to shore following a turtle, heading towards the mangroves into which it eventually disappeared. Anne Hoggett reported the sighting to QPWS Wildlife on 2 Nov 2021.
