Recent track marks on Mangrove Beach reported to Anne Hoggett by a yachtie on 29 Sep 2021 and to QPWS by resort staff around that time (as advised to AH by QPWS Wildlife officer Chris, by phone on 1 Oct 2021). No report of size but apparently resort has sent photos to QPWS. It may or may not be the same 3 m animal seen at Coconut Beach reef flat by archaeologists on 30 Sep 2021.
