Observed by RMIT Univ group leader Nathan Bott and student Brandon McCool while snorkelling. Nathan said 2-3 m depth, Brandon said 4 m depth. Croc was lying on sand. Nathan thought it was a log initially, estimated length initially at 3 m, revised later to at least 2 m. Brandon saw it after Nathan and says it turned towards him then Brandon swam away and didn't look back. He estimated it at at least 3 m. Reported to Resort and QPWS.
