Croc bit a resort staff member on the head after he had been swimming laps of the beach with mask and snorkel for about an hour. Depth is an estimate based on the location of the attack (10 m off resort beach) advised by resort ops manager, Grant Cameron. Initial estimate of length advised by resort was 8-10 feet.

QPWS officers advised late on 27 Sep that the croc had been killed that morning at Chinaman's Ridge. It was 2.6 m long and had at least 5 seabirds in its gut that looked very fresh. From photos seen by Anne Hoggett, most of the birds appear to be noddy terns while one with a hooked beak may be a mutton bird.
