Observed on snorkel with no camera. About 7 cm long, sitting still under a small bit of overhanging coral and rubble in shallow water surrounded by clean sand. Not flightly like mandarin fish. Big pectorals edged with yellow/orange, distinct white saddle on back towards tail. Complex pattern on body, can't remember well enough to describe (although this is being written only a few hours later). Not very colourful, mostly browns and white. Of all the dragonet records in LIFG, Neosynchiropus ocellatus looks like the best fit.
