Observed by resort beach staff Jas halfway between LIRS moorings and probably Palfrey Island (not clear on phone msg), swimming towards Wilson House. Taleatha Pell has a photo taken by someone else that day from the Wilson House. Jas estimated length at 2+ m. Photo looks easily that length but slim, has a bump on snout.

Subsequently, many reports of a 2+ m croc by yachties at Watson's Bay. QPWS Wildlife (Dinopuk, Chris and Emma) arrived on 25 Oct to investigate. Found it that night near resort pergola in shallow water near beach, killed it. Length was 3.06 m, animal in poor condition, very skinny and missing one leg. QPWS thinks it was hungry and looking for a meal.

Not clear whether this is the same animal reported by archaeologists in late Sep 2021 at Coconut Beach but it seems likely. QPWS also searched on night of 26 Oct 2021 but did not see any others.
