Distinguishing features

Mantle divided into sections, can break pieces off in defence. Colour is highly variable (yellow, red, brown, black, white with contrasting spots) but rhinophores always dark (Humann and Deloach, 2010).

Size

  • Up to 6 cm (length according to Humann and Deloach, 2010)
  • Up to 8 cm (length of Lizard Island specimens)
